Yale Youth Hockey Association
Uniform Code
Yale Youth Hockey maintains and enforces an “On-Ice Uniform Code”
To all new members, the code was initiated prior to the commencement of the 2014-15 season. The code is part of a series of initiatives, devised by our board, to add to the many components that separate YYHA as a premiere organization amongst other youth hockey programs. We strive to maintain a strong synergy between our organization and that of our most supportive advocate Yale University Varsity Hockey.
On-Ice Uniform Code:
All players must purchase and wear a league approved custom made Home (white) and Navy (away) uniform along with matching custom hockey socks in any game. These uniforms are NOT to be worn during any practices or hockey camps.
Players must be equipped with a NAVY blue helmet which shall feature the YALE “Y” on the dome (see your team manager for placement) and a player number in white to be placed on the lower backside of the helmet. No other decals shall be permitted.
In addition to the NAVY helmets, all players must wear NAVY blue gloves.
Members are encouraged to purchase YYH equipment bags, warm-ups suits and Off-Ice attire.
We ask that all players be in compliance no later than October 1st.
All items can be purchased from Hamden Sports Center located at 2858 Whitney Ave, Hamden, CT 06518, Main Line: (203) 248-9898
Note* The code applies to all players with the exception of those participating in the learn-to-skate and mite house and midget programs.
