Yale Youth Hockey - Goalie Training for 2021-22 Season

Yale Youth Hockey and Yale Junior Bulldogs are pleased to announce for the upcoming 2021-2022 season that we are partnering with Connecticut Crease for our goalie training program.  This partnership brings exciting new opportunities to goalie development for our program.  Our primary goalie coaches will be Craig Height and Craig Ryan.  They will work weekly with our 8U through 14U goalies individually during regularly scheduled team practices.  They will also be working with our coaches to incorporate additional goalie skills training into our practice plans.  Included in our partnership with Connecticut Crease is a $10 discount on all private lessons and training services they offer at their training facility at the Northford Ice Pavilion.

Passing of Raymond "Ray" Heenie

Raymond "Ray" Heenie

March 6, 2021

Dear Yale Youth Hockey Community:

With great sadness I share with all of you that Raymond "Ray" Heenie, a member and player on our 14-U AA team passed away last evening. Ray loved hockey, was a valuable player, a great teamate and friend to many Yale Youth Hockey players.

Our 14-U AA team has decided to play their scheduled games tonight and tomorrow. "That's what Ray would want us to do."

Tomorrow at 12:30PM following their 11:20AM game at Northford, we have arranged to have two Grief Counselors from "BCH" Behaviorial Health Care speak to the team. They will also be available to any players, coaches, parents and friends who would like to speak with them individually. We ask all to assemble just outside the Northford Rink on the lawn.

Our thoughts and prayers to the Heenie Family
